Q&A with SCPGA Board of Directors Member, Tom Son
Tom Son is the General Manager at Arrowood Golf Course in Oceanside, California
After attending United States Military Academy West Point, I wanted another career path that would allow me to make positive impact to the lives of others. The PGA of America gave me that opportunity to serve our Members and Association while playing the great game of golf.
The best part of being a PGA Member is the connection with other PGA Members and fulfillment of serving Arrowood family and PGA Members. I have had the great fortune to make connections with many wonderful people in the golf industry over the years.
My advice to those thinking about becoming a PGA Member is that you will be a part of an industry where the Members genuinely care about each other to make each other’s lives more meaningful and relevant. My favorite men golfer is Rory McIlroy and women’s golfer is Jinyoung Ko.
My favorite courses played in the world is Cypress Point and Bandon Dunes 5 courses.
