Our Mission

Making the Game Better for All Ages

The Southern California PGA Junior Tour’s mission is to create learning and playing opportunities for individuals of all ages and skill levels throughout Southern California. We aim to utilize golf as a vehicle to instill values such as integrity, honor, and patience. The SCPGA Junior Tour strives to foster and develop these values that will positively impact our member’s character on and off the golf course.

Established in 1948, the Southern California PGA now hosts one of the largest and most respected junior golf programs in the country. The SCPGA Junior Tour is a three-tiered program featuring the Toyota Tour Cup, the Players Tour and the Junior Development Tour. Together, these three tours administer over 290 tournaments annually for kids of all ages and skill levels. These events provide playing opportunities throughout Southern California, many of which are hosted by PGA facilities. The Junior Tour boasts countless alumni including Tiger Woods, Rickie Fowler, Lizette Salas, Charlie Wi, Brendan Steele, Danielle Kang, Jennifer Johnson, John Cook, Patrick Cantlay and many more.

Which Level Is Right For You?

Junior Development Tour

The Junior Development Tour is a way for juniors to gain competitive golf experience in a more relaxed and fun environment. It is a way for junior golfers to gain knowledge of the rules, etiquette and competitive nature of tournament golf.

The Players Tour

The Players Tour is the flagship level of our program. It is designed to serve juniors of a wide range of playing ability, from juniors that have advanced through the Junior Development Tour, to those looking to earn an invite into the Toyota Tour Cup Series.

Toyota Tour Cup

The Toyota Tour Cup Series features the best Junior Golfers in Southern California hosted by some of the premiere facilities in the area.

Another fantastic tournament is in the books as The Golf Club at Terra Lago hosted the first Toyota Tour Cup Extended Field event of the year this weekend.

Thank you to Head Golf Professional Brian Hulbert and all of the wonderful staff at The Golf Club at Terra Lago for hosting us!

Hanqin Wang overcame a 3-stroke deficit to capture his first TTC Victory with rounds of 71-68 (-5)! Austin Woods (68-72) and Max Margolis (69-71) finished tied for second place at -4 total. Great playing boys!

Rina Kawasaki captured her second TTC Victory with scores of 67-72 to finish 5 under par for the tournament! Elise Lee finished in second place at 4 under par. Jeanne Padillo and Kylie Phi both capitalized on under par second rounds to finish tied for third at -3. Congratulations to all the girls on a well played tournament!

SCPGA Junior Tour

The Players Tour headed to Soboba Springs Golf Course this past weekend for the fourth 2-Day in the Spring Series.

After a 4-way playoff to determine the winner in the Boys Overall Division, Michael Lin took first place honors with a birdie on the first playoff hole. Michael finished with a tournament total of 144 (E). Chris Liu, Samson Li, and Daiqian He ended in a tie for second at even par.

Samantha Daniels fired back to back 71’s for a tournament total of 2 under par (142). Katie park (E) and Breanna Noble (+2) finished second and third, respectively.

Congratulations to all our medalists!

SCPGA Junior Tour

Another memorable tournament in the books where players battled windy conditions this weekend at the Toyota Tour Cup @ Palm Desert Resort Country Club.

Thank you to Co-Head Golf Professionals Ron Naus, PGA and Rod Prieto, PGA and all of the wonderful staff at Palm Desert Resort Country Club for hosting us!

Max Margolis fired 2 rounds of 65-67, -10 total to capture his second TTC victory by two shots! Hill Wang came in 2nd place which included a final round tournament low score of 66 to finish 8 under total. Bryant Hernandez fired scores of 67-68, -7 total to finish 3rd.
Great playing boys!

Annika Raja captured her very first TTC victory with scores of 70-71 to finish 3 under par for the tournament! Blayne Browne came back with a final round 67 to finish tied for second place along with Sarah Lee and Haram Lee at -2. Congratulations to all the girls on a well played tournament!

SCPGA Junior Tour

The Players Tour traveled north to River Ridge Golf Club this past weekend to complete its third 2-Day in the Spring Season.

Luke Scott successfully defended his first-round lead to capture his first 2-Day win. Luke fired the tournament low with rounds of 66, 74 (-4). Austin Dennis and Tyler Sonnenberg both finished runner-up with two-day totals of 142 (-2).

Ally Kim completed a second-round comeback to capture her first 2-Day win as well in the Girls Overall Division. Ally fired rounds of 72, 72 (E). Victoria Wang (+5) and Alesia Barry (+6) followed to finish second and third, respectively.

Congratulations to all our medalists!

SCPGA Junior Tour

Jared Abercrombie and Kandice Chuang are the 2024 Toyota Tour Cup Max Homa Invitational Champions today at the second annual event hosted at Oak Valley Golf Club, in Beaumont, CA.

The three-day 54-hole invitational event is ranked by WAGR and was open only to Toyota Tour Cup (TTC) members who fit the criteria of being top 15 boys or top 8 girls in Junior Golf Scoreboard from SoCal, any 2022 and 2023 TTC Champions or qualified via the 2023 TTC points standings.

Max Homa participated in the SCPGA Junior Tour from 2005-2008 and won medalist honors at the Toyota Tour Cup at SilverRock in 2008. Homa has become one of the most successful alumni of the program and is a four-time PGA Tour Champion, including the Wells Fargo Championship and Fortinet Championship in 2022, The Genesis Invitational in 2021, and the Wells Fargo Championship in 2019.

Since its inception in 2023, the TTC Max Homa Invitational Series has proven to be an extremely popular addition to the tournament schedule with another full field of competitors.

In the boy’s division, Jared Abercrombie of Simi Valley stuck his approach shot to inside 1 foot on the first playoff hole to claim the top honors via a playoff with a four-under par, 212 total, which was highlighted by a final round of three-under par, 69.

Kandice Chuang of Los Angeles was the only girl’s division player to go under par en-route to victory with her one-under per, 215 three day total that included girl’s division tournament low score of 68 in the second round.

SCPGA Junior Tour

The Players Tour had its second 2-Day Spring Series event this past weekend at Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort. The course was in great condition and the weather was favorable despite a windy first round.

Tate Bruggeman secured first place honors in the Boys Overall Division with a second round -3 to finish the tournament at four under par.

Victoria Wang captured first place honors in the Girls Overall Division by shooting a second round 70 (-4) and a tournament total of five under par.

Congratulations to all of our medalists!
