Southern California PGA Announces Toyota as Presenting Partner of the Women's California State Open

ONTARIO, CA – November 13, 2024 — The Southern California PGA is thrilled to announce Toyota as the Presenting Partner for the upcoming Women’s California State Open Championship on December 16-17, 2024, at Desert Springs Golf Club.

This partnership highlights Toyota’s commitment to supporting women in sports and fostering the development of female athletes across California. Since its inception in 2016, the Women’s California State Open has brought together top female golfers from across the state for a highly anticipated competition.

“We are extremely grateful to Toyota for their support of the Women’s California State Open,” said SCPGA Executive Director / CEO Nikki Gatch, PGA. “Toyota’s commitment to the SCPGA spans nearly 25 years, primarily with their support of the SCPGA Junior Tour and the Toyota Tour Cup. Support for this event confirms their dedication to the development of talented golfers and shows their enthusiasm in supporting women in the game.”

To enhance Toyota’s support, they are providing a sponsor’s exemption to Inseoul Jiamanukoonkit, the current top Girls Toyota Tour Cup player on the SCPGA Junior Tour. The 2026 Grad lives in San Diego and is from Thailand.

The Women’s State Open has added a Senior Division to the event for players over the age of 50. This division will be highlighted by some legends of the game. Committed to play are Brandie Burton, a 5x Solheim Cup member, 2x LPGA TOUR winner and Southern California Golf Hall of Fame inductee; Juli Inkster, 31-time LPGA TOUR winner, 9x Solheim Cup member (Captain in 2015, 2017) and World Golf Hall of Fame Member; and Pat Hurst, a 5x Solheim Cup member (Captain in 2021) and 6x LPGA TOUR winner.

The field also includes two past champions in Alana Uriell (2023) and Corina Kelepouris (2022).

This year’s Women’s California State Open promises to be a landmark event, bringing together exceptional talent and fostering a spirit of unity and competition. Play will be conducted on the Palm Course at Desert Springs Golf Club, December 16-17, with tee times starting off Hole #1 and #10 at 7:15 am.

Spectators are welcome.
