SCPGA Foundation Classic

PACIFIC PALISADES (FEBRUARY 28, 2022) – The Southern California PGA Foundation was hosted by the historic Riviera Country Club for the 6th Annual SCPGA Foundation Classic while raising over $75,000 for the SCPGA Foundation’s College Scholarship and ClubsForeYouth® programs. To date, the SCPGA Foundation has awarded $1 million in scholarships and has provided over 700 sets of equipment along with PGA Instruction to student athletes.

Playing in a Stableford format, a total of 21 teams made up of one PGA Professional and four amateurs from all over the country participated in this year’s event.

“The Foundation Classic at Riviera Country Club is a highlight of our year and a top fundraiser for our youth programming and we thank the entire team at Riviera for their support and help to make the event happen and happen at the highest level.” said Southern California PGA’s Executive Director Tom Addis III, PGA.

The team from Dallas National Golf Club, led by PGA Professional Brett Beaty, accumulated 111 stableford points to claim victory. Congratulations to low PGA Professional Michael Block of Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club for carding an impressive round of 66, or 47 stableford points, to finish six shots and points clear of the professional field.
