SCPGA Alumni Reunion
On Monday, November 18th, accomplished junior golfers from the 1960’s and 1970’s descended onto San Clemente Golf Course. In the process the reunion tournament helped raise money and awareness for the Southern California PGA’s Junior Tour and Foundation.
Rick Talt of Laguna Beach, a California High School alum was instrumental in bringing together many of the participants.
“It’s kind of a way to give back to give back to Junior Golf and talk with old friends and exchange stories,” he said. “And see where we’re at in our lives since playing Junior Golf when we were 16, 17 years old.”
The reunion included PGA winners, senior PGA winners, USGA Amateur title holders, two NCAA individual champions, two USGA Junior Champions and collegiate All-Americans.
Several silent auction items, made available through the PGA and former golfers, are available to raise more money for the youth programs.
