Palos Verdes Golf Club Donates Hundreds of Meals to South Bay First Responders

Palos Verdes Estates, CA (April 27, 2020) – Palos Verdes Golf Club (PVGC) has raised over $25,000 from its Membership to provide meals for several groups of South Bay first responders.  These first responders include the ICU units at the medical centers of Harbor-UCLA, Providence Little Company of Mary Torrance, and Torrance Memorial.  Also, through its new “First Responder Friday” program, PVGC will deliver weekly meals to the Los Angeles County Fire Department – Station 2 and the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department through the end of the current phase of the coronavirus crisis.  According to PVGC Board President Sam Rotondi, “The club prides itself on being an integral part of the South Bay community, and I’m proud of our membership tangibly demonstrating this extra level of commitment.”  Meal deliveries, courtesy of PVGC Executive Chef Garrett Yokoyama, commenced April 23.
