2026 SCPGA Women's Section Champions!PAUMA VALLEY, CA (September 9, 2026) — The Women’s Division season comes to an end with the 20th edition of the Southern California PGA Women’s Section Championship at Pauma Valley Country Club this week, with victories by Jenny Lee, PGA, of The Quarry at La Quinta, and Leslie Spalding, PGA Life Member Active.
Lee has now claimed back-to-back Women’s Section Championship titles after she flipped the script on day two with a 4-under-par 68, marking a tournament low score for both days. Lee entered the final round in 2nd place and three shots off the lead after an opening round even-par 72. Her 4-under-par day-two score propelled her to the top spot to beat the field by six shots and claim the title for the second straight year.
When asked about her victory, Lee said, “Oh man, it was wild. I came here without any expectations. I’m definitely proud of that and I was definitely not expecting it. I signed up at the last minute, more to just participate in the Championship, but I guess something just came out of me.”
Spalding has now won the Senior Flight four years in a row. “I am really happy that I was able to persevere today and play aggressively. It means a lot because I represent the PGA of America, and I represent senior women. It’s definitely an honor that I don’t carry lightly. I’m proud to be a PGA Member, and I’m proud to win this tournament,” said Spalding.
With the completion of the Women’s Division season, Kaitlyn Ellis, PGA, of Monterey Country Club, earned her first-ever Rolex SCPGA Women’s Player of the Year with nine events played and 430 points. In the Senior Division, Spalding has clinched the Rolex SCPGA Senior Women’s Player of the Year with five events played and 370 points. Both players will be honored at the annual SCPGA President’s Dinner in December.
