Smock/Geddes Defend Home Turf at Senior Junior Championship

CORONADO, CA (May 12, 2025) — Brian Smock, PGA, and Mark Geddes, PGA, of Coronado Golf Course won the 2025 Senior-Junior Championship at Coronado Golf Course in a dominant showing.
Team Smock/Geddes successfully defended their home turf with a blistering 10-under-par 62 to take home the trophy by two shots. The duo produced a clean card on the day with an even total of five birdies on both sides of the course. A big thank you to our on-site partner, TRUE linkswear, as both Smock/Geddes will also go home with a TRUE linkswear custom golf shoes.
This marks the third time Geddes has claimed the Senior-Junior Championship, while it marks the second time for Smock to lift the trophy.
There were a total of two skins recorded on the day – Scott Mallory, PGA, and Lyon Lazare, PGA, eagled on hole #4, while Geoffrey Dean, PGA, and Steve Saunders, PGA, eagled on hole #13.
Congratulations to our closest-to-the-hole winners – Barry Mahlberg, PGA, for the Seniors and Vinnie Poncino, PGA, for the Juniors. Both Mahlberg and Poncino will take home a pair of custom TRUE linkswear golf shoes courtesy of TRUE linkswear, who sponsored the hole.
