Desert Willow Golf Resort Claims 2024 Southern California PGA E-Z-GO Professional-Official-Superintendent Championship

RANCHO MIRAGE, CALIFORNIA (May 6, 2024) — In dramatic fashion, the 2024 Southern California PGA E-Z-GO Professional-Official-Superintendent Championship ended with a card-off between the teams from Desert Willow Golf Resort and the team from Twin Oaks Golf Course as both teams came in at 13-under-par with a team score of 131 points. Congratulations to Desert Willow Golf Resort for winning the card-off and taking home the championship.
The 18-team, 72-player field enjoyed a beautiful day on the course with perfect conditions. The course was in beautiful shape, as the annual tournament showcases top clubs across SoCal and provides an opportunity for PGA Professionals to not only bring out their Superintendents, but other vital course staff members for a competitive, but fun event atmosphere.
The eighteen-hole Modified Four-Ball Stroke Play Event ended with two teams tied at the top, but it was the team from Desert Willow Golf Resort taking home the trophy off the card-off. Congratulations to Ryan Szydlowski, PGA, Paul Bucy, PGA, Jeff Grant, PGA, and Chris Bien on claiming the championship for team Desert Willow Golf Resort. Desert Willow Golf Resort, Twin Oaks Golf Course, and Cypress Ridge Golf Course finished as the top three teams and went home with a pair of sunglasses courtesy of Maui Jim, and the winners received a custom Dormie Workshop headcover.
