Carpinelli/Furuta Claim 2024 SCPGA Professional-Lady Championship

GLENDORA, CA (November 11, 2024) – Gioia Carpinelli and Melanie Furuta of Virginia Country Club claimed the 2024 Southern California PGA Professional-Lady Championship at Glendora Country Club in a card-off with a total of 38 points on the day.
Playing in a Stableford format, the field of 46 teams enjoyed a beautiful day in Glendora for the 22nd playing of this Championship.
The Carpinelli/Furuta ended the day tied with Garrett Sapp, PGA, and Natalie Mu out of San Gabriel Country Club, but was able to claim the title with a back nine card-off with 21 points on the back nine to the Sapp/Mu’s 17 points. Scott Heyn, PGA, and Debbie Kim of The Farms Golf Club finished in third with 37 points, and the defending champions from Glendora Country Club of Jeffrey Templeton, PGA, and Joan Higgins took fourth with 36 points.
