Rider and Correa Are The Member-Associate Champions!

TEMECULA, CA (June 17, 2024) – Joshua Rider, PGA of The Santaluz Club, and Larry Correa of La Purisima Golf Course are the 2024 Member-Associate Championship winners at the Journey at Pechanga after firing a 12-under-par total for the event.
The Member-Associate Championship, a unique tournament that typically kicks off the calendar year for the Southern California PGA, was met with perfect conditions on the day after being rescheduled due to inclement weather. The event featured a Triple Play format, a thrilling combination of Alternate Shot (1-6), Fourball (7-12), and Scramble (13-18), making it a truly unforgettable experience for the fifty-two competing teams.
Starting on hole 16, Rider and Correa got off to a hot start with four straight birdies to record a bogey-free 12-under-par scorecard to beat the field by four shots. They played both nines to a pair of 6-under-par 30s, with their lone eagle coming on the par-5 ninth hole.
No skins were claimed on the day.
