PACIFIC PALISADES (FEBRUARY 27, 2023) –  The Southern California PGA Foundation was hosted by the historic Riviera Country Club for the 7th Annual SCPGA Foundation Classic while raising over $75,000 for the SCPGA Foundation’s College Scholarship and ClubsForeYouth® programs. To date, the SCPGA Foundation has awarded over $1 million in scholarships and has provided over 800 sets of equipment along with PGA Instruction to student-athletes.

Playing in a stableford format, a total of 19 teams made up of one PGA Professional, and four amateurs from all over the country participated in this year’s event.

“We are so grateful to all the teams here today to participate and raise money for all the great programs that our foundation does for Junior Golf, our veterans through PGA Hope, and our scholarship/grant programs,” said Southern California PGA’s Executive Director Nikki Gatch, PGA.

The team from Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club, led by PGA Professional Michael Block, accumulated 83 stableford points to claim victory. Congratulations to low PGA Professional Block, who posted an impressive round of 69, or 44 stableford points, to finish eight points clear of the field.

Thank you to our partners who made the annual SCPGA Foundation Classic possible: TravisMathew, Maui Jim, Limerick Lane Wine Cellars and Blue Ash Farms. A special thank you to the Riviera Country Club staff, its members, PGA Director of Golf Todd Yoshitake, PGA General Manager Jim Richerson, and Golf Course Superintendent Marshall Dick.
