2023 Member-Associate Championship

TEMECULA, CA (February 6, 2023) – Michael Block, PGA, of Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club, and Lyon Lazare of Monarch Beach Golf Links are the 2023 Member-Associate Championship winners at the Journey at Pechanga after firing a tournament record 14-under-par total for the event.

The tournament marked the first event of the calendar year for the Southern California PGA, as the event hosted 56 teams competing in a Triple Play format featuring a Scramble (1-6), Fourball (7-12), and Alternate Shot (13-18).

Block and Lazare opened their round with an eagle on the first hole en route to shoot a 9-under-par 27 on the front nine and followed that with a 5-under-par 31 on the back nine.

There were three skins awarded on the day; all won with eagles – Kyle Lewis and Arron Michel on #7, Jamie Puterbaugh and Maiya Puterbaugh on #10, and Chris Lungo and Tyson Colarelli on #16.
