SCPGA Summer Meeting & Professional-Professional Scramble

(Palm Desert, CA – June 6th, 2022) Ryan Kennedy and Mike Fergin are the 2022 SCPGA Summer Meeting Professional-Professional Scramble champions with a score of 15-under par at the Classic Club.

Over 140 PGA Professionals and Associates arrived in the Desert Chapter to attend the SCPGA Section Summer Meeting and a full field of 64 teams competed at the annual Pro-Pro Championship that followed. During the Summer Meeting, the Section announced that John Kulow of South Hills Country Club was named the next Secretary of the Southern California PGA to take effect at the 2022 SCPGA Annual Meeting on December 12th at Newport Beach Country Club.

On the course, it was the duo of Kennedy of Rustic Canyon Golf Course and Fergin of Mesa Verde Country Club who carded the lowest score of the day with an impressive 11 birdies and two eagles enroute to a 57 on the Classic Club’s 6,782 yards.

Andrew Kramer and Vinnie Bertagna walked away with the lone skin today with their eagle on the par 4 13th.

Joe Fritz was closest to the hole winner on hole #17 hitting it to 2’4’’ and will be taking home a brand new rangefinder courtesy of our friends at BlueTees golf. In addition, the top 12 teams will also be taking home new sunglasses from our partner Maui Jim and the top three teams will receive TheraBody mini’s.
