SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA PGA FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES 2022 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS

Over $125,000.00 awarded to seventeen exemplary student athletes

ONTARIO, CA (FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE) The Southern California PGA Foundation has selected seventeen exemplary student-athletes to receive over $125,000.00 in college scholarships that will further each individuals educational pursuits while enhancing their passion for the game of golf.

The Southern California PGA Foundation’s Grants and Scholarships Program is meant to recognize the hard work effort and determination of each recipient in the Southern California community. The SCPGA Foundation’s sole focus is to assist those in need through a variety of options focused on the game of golf. The life skills associated with the game are unmatched and the SCPGA Foundation views each activity and event as key contributions to a junior’s overall mental, physical, and social development.

Below you will find the scholarship recipients listed along with their hometown and the university they are attending; 

 

SCPGA Foundation Scholarship – $10,000.00 to each

Nia Elkouby (Inglewood, CA) Howard University

Maleyna Gregorio (Indio, CA) – UC Riverside

Kelly Xu (Claremont, CA) – Stanford University

 

The Give Scholarship – $10,000.00 to each

Kyle An (Aliso Viejo, CA) UCLA

Joshua Koo (Cerritos, CA) U of Washington

Timothy Stolo (Yorba Linda, CA) U of Colorado

Taylor Ward (La Verne, CA) University of La Verne 

Jonas Appel (Encinitas, CA) Baylor University 

 

Toyota Scholarship – $5,000.00 

Ryan Ruaysungnoen (Porter Ranch, CA) – Pomona College 

 

Bob McCurry Memorial Scholarship – $2,500.00 to each

Brian Hanson (San Diego, CA) – Emory University

Cameron Lee (Brea CA) UC Davis

 

TravisMathew Scholarship – $2,500.00 to each

Ashley Zook (Simi Valley, CA) – Cal Lutheran University

The Friends of Golf Scholarship $2,500.00 to each

Jaxon Kenzo (Santa Monica, CA), Texas Southern University
