2021 Member-Associate Championship

SCPGA professional Ryan Kennedy of Rustic Canyon Golf Course and associate Ryan Nomura of Spanish Hills Country Club, claimed top honors at the Member-Associate Championship firing a seven-under par 65.
The Championship was graciously hosted by scenic Journey at Pechanga in Temecula Valley who also hosted the inaugural event last season. The fun team event that is made up of a Class A member and an Associate take on the Triple Play format that consists of a Scramble on holes 1-6, Four-ball on holes 7-12, and Alternate Shot on holes 13-18.
The winning team, Kennedy & Nomura, navigated the unique and challenging format with ease tallying up six birdies on the day along with an incredible eagle on the par-5 11th with the only blemish being a bogey on the par-4 4th in the scramble portion.
Michael Block, PGA/Al Geiberger Jr. and Logan Scott, PGA/Garrett Sapp shot six-under par and five-under par, respectively, to round out the top-3.
Skins were awarded to Chris Lungo, PGA/Lyon Lazare for their eagle on #10 and to Michael Medonza, PGA/Luis Gaspar for their eagle on #16.
