VALENCIA, CA (June 29, 2020) – Michael Block, PGA and Scott Mallory, PGA, are crowned the 2020 Cart Star Motors Senior-Junior Champions coming in with a nine-under par, 63, in the four-ball format.
One of the favorite team play events on the schedule of the year, the two person Championship visited Valencia Country Club and marked the second event back to organized golf since covid-19 featuring a field of 48 teams.
The winning duo, Block of Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club & Mallory of The Journey at Pechanga, got off to a rocky start and found themselves one over par through five holes, but found some steam and rattled off eight birdies and an eagle on their final thirteen holes. The Champions were once again decided by a scorecard playoff when the team representing Coronado Golf Course, Tim Parun, PGA, and Mark Geddes, also finished with a 63 but came up just short on the back nine score.
No skins were won in today’s Senior-Junior Championship.
