MESSAGE FROM THE TEACHING COMMITTEE

The SCPGA Teaching Committee understands the current limitations in place for Teaching Professionals during the COVID-19 situation.

We have established this resource page for you to provide proactive ideas that your fellow PGA Professionals are currently using during these unprecedented times. In addition,we will start the “Coach Chats” every Wednesday at 11am, beginning next Wednesday, April 1. These Chats are designed specifically for Instructors, Teachers and Coaches to “chat” with each other, discussing the challenges we are all facing, offer an outlet for our Professionals to know they’re not alone, share best practices and ideas, and to help keep everyone motivated and positive!

Since we had to cancel this years Youth Teaching & Coaching Summit, Josh Alpert (committee chair) continues his quest on delivering presentations previously planned for the summit online.  Register for the first one Thursday April 2nd at 10 am, featuring keynote speaker Dr. Rick Sessinghaus and PGA tour member and former SCPGA Junior tour graduate Colin Morikawa live!

Let’s take advantage of these programs that will help us all with a little distraction, entertainment and education during our current situation.  Please don’t hesitate to reach out to myself or your section staff for any questions or concerns you may have during these uncertain times.

Stay well and safe,

Randy Chang, PGA

Teaching & Coaching Committee Chairman
