The Southern California PGA took a drive up highway 101 to the gorgeous Saticoy Country Club for the 2016 E-Z-GO Summer Meeting and Pro-Pro Scramble. After an informative morning meeting, 54 two-player teams poured out onto the golf course with their sights set on making birdies and hoisting the hardware. Each team knew that they had to go low in the scramble format to have any chance of walking away victorious, but they also had to wary of the challenge that the beautiful Saticoy Country Club golf course poses.
However two teams didn’t take heed to that warning. The teams of PGA Professionals Andrew Larkin and Austin Peters and Thomas Chu and Jamie Puterbaugh fired blistering rounds of 63
(-9). Both teams enjoyed making birdies on the course so much that they had to go extra holes to determine the 2016 championship. The playoff only lasted one hole, and with a birdie the Larkin/Peters team were crowned champions. Congratulations and great playing Andrew and Austin!
