They came, they sipped and they supported.
ONTARIO, CA (November 16, 2015) – The SCPGA Foundation is proud to announce that with the help of everyone who came out Saturday, November 7 in Laguna Beach, over $3,500 was raised for junior golfers and youth activities.
Through “Sip & Support”, members and supporters in the golf community were given an evening to enjoy good company, good food and wine and most importantly, support the SCPGA Foundation. Guests celebrated the night by participating in a silent auction, a raffle and a mystery wine grab.
The Laguna Gallery of Contemporary Art, host venue for “Sip & Support”, sold over $4,500 worth of art, in which 10% of those sales go back to the SCPGA Foundation. All of the net proceeds from the wine tasting fundraiser will provide scholarships for college bound students, grants for juniors who need financial support, and other youth activities provided by the Foundation.
“We are so pleased with the support for the SCPGA’s Sip & Support Wine Tasting. We were able to raise some quality funds to support our Junior golf grants program to ensure a less fortunate young man or woman will have the opportunity to participate in the life-long sport of golf,” said Tom Addis III, CEO of the Southern California PGA.
Thank you to US Foods, ONEHOPE Wines, Laguna Gallery of contemporary Art and to all of the donors of auction and raffle items for supporting a great cause.
