RIVERSIDE, CA – Perched high above the inland empire is an iconic mountain community, with roots dating back to the early 1800’s. Big Bear Mountain played host to the most recent SCPGA Foundation donation ceremony, with seven students receiving brand new Wilson Golf clubs! Big Bear High School’s girls golf team was extremely enthusiastic, and their head coach Chris Leon shared the girls excitement, telling us, “It’s really great to see the girls receiving these clubs today. It will give them the opportunity to play year round and we are very appreciative that the SCPGA Foundation has stepped forward to provide our program this gift. This gift will last for years to come and who knows what it will lead to, we cant thank the Friends of Golf, LA84 Foundation and the SCPGA enough!”
Morgan Schetter – “It makes me so happy to have this brand new set, it means that my score will get better, and it gives me the ability to go play whenever I want!”
Maria DeLeon – “I am feeling very excited today! I cant wait to practice even more and get better, and hopefully someday play some college golf!”
Elizabeth Huefner – “My day just got so much better, it feels so great to receive these Wilson Golf clubs. It means a lot because I feel like it would have been a while before I could get my own set. I can’t wait to just go and practice whenever I want now!”
Ashley Griffiths – “Im really excited, it means the world to me to be given this opportunity! I cant wait to hit the driver and use these clubs in competition.”
Ana Melissa – “It opens up so many opportunities for me during and even after high school. I cant wait to see where the game will take me.”
