LOS ANGELES, CA (Dec 10, 2018) – The Southern California PGA wrapped up the 2018 season at Wilshire Country Club for the Annual Meeting and Pinehurst Championship while saying our farewells to outgoing President Todd Keefer.
The meeting had over 200 PGA Members and Associates in attendance for the review of Section business, thanking Mr. Keefer for his Presidency, passing of the torch to President Tony Letendre and the election of three Board Members – Randy Chang, Dr. Alison Curdt and Rob Oosterhuis.
Following the meeting, 120 players took in the iconic views of Hollywood for the playing of the Pinehurst Championship at Wilshire CC.
Bobby Nickell, PGA of Arroyo Trabuco GC and Vinnie Poncino, PGA of San Clemente GC post a strong 7-under to win by two strokes over the field of 60 teams. The winning duo had a bogey-free round carding seven birdies en route to their 64.
Susan Roll, PGA of Carlsbad Golf Center had the luck of the Irish with her and had her name drawn during the meeting for an all-expenses paid trip to Ireland courtesy of Garmany Travel.
Steve Adamiak, PGA of Legends Golf Club knocked it to 2’10’’ on #10 to win the cash prize from Si Mexico.
